Spiral is a unique movie of an almost non-existent genre - found footage darama - a feature film that centres around the relationship of the character that are shooting it, in this case mostly using a smartphone using all of its unquite capabilites to show the characters inner feelings, while at the same time illustrationg that typical reality of current technologically-driven society, it's immediate wireles connectivity and heavy reliance on social networking.
The film depicts the life of Shahaf, a young female dancer documenting her life using her cellphone camera as a part of psychological treatment that she is undergoing while also working on a videodance in which she is shooting herself dancing. Her life takes a sharp change when she falls in love with Yuli a social and political activist. Yuli convinces Shahaf to combine dance with demonstrations in a manner that eventually undermines the stability of their relationship.
